Its Official: Bob Howell Files for O’Fallon City Council – 4th Ward

O’Fallon, MO — Today at the O’Fallon City Hall, Bob Howell filed paperwork making his candidacy for the O’Fallon City Council for the 4th Ward official.  He has been a community volunteer for many years, chairing the Bryan Valley Homeowners Association for the past nine.  Bob understands the necessity for smart growth and responsible development having met these challenges serving asa commissioner on the Planning and Zoning Board in O’Fallon since 2002.

 

“As councilman, I will work to further O’Fallon’s distinctive character as an attractive community with a strong sense of place. I ask for the support of the O’Fallon community.” Howell said.

 

His primary interest in seeking this position is to help keep O’Fallon the excellent place it is in which to live, work, and play. He expects to work collaboratively with people of diverse opinions and ideas to forge consensus on the difficult and contentious issues that will face the city. He looks upon this office as an opportunity to continue his long time commitment to community service.

 

Bob arrived in St. Charles County over a decade ago.  A graduate of Rosary High in 1981.  He received his degree from the United Association of Journeymen and Apprentices of the Plumbing and Pipe Fitting Industry of the United States and Canada in 1986. He is 46 years old and currently employed with C&R Mechanical, as a 27 year journeyman pipefitter with Local 562.

 

Bob is a member of the Assumption Parish in O’Fallon and has a daughter, Brittany, now a freshman at St. Dominic and a son, Bobbie attending Assumption.

 

“The city must work hard to keep their commitments to the taxpayers to ensure that they receive the level of services they deserve,” Howell said.

 

As a Planning and Zoning Commissioner, Bob has demonstrated his support for our veterans and seniors by endorsing the recent senior living projects in O’Fallon and also the new restroom facility for the Veterans’ Memorial Walk on Belleau Creek Road.

 

“We have challenges that we will be facing in the future which will require sensible planning,” Howell said. “I am committed to watching taxpayers’ funds closely and making sure their money is well-invested over the long term.”

 

“I will listen to the ideas and concerns from my neighbors and always act in the best interest of the people of O’Fallon.  My experience, passion, and commitment to the citizens of O’Fallon are the reasons I seek this office.” Howell said.
